Team Guandalini Racing:Assen TT - Qualifying 1- 24/04/09
An excellent performance by Jakub Smrz in the first Qualifying Session on the Dutch Assen Circuit where Smrz has potentially qualified in second position on the grid. Jakub obtained an excellent 1.39.055 just 0.308 from provisional pole sitter, Ben Spies, (1.38.747). Brendan Roberts suffered with a few problems with the Ducati and is hoping he will improve on his time during second qualifying tomorrow, Roberts ended up in 21st position today with a time of 1.40.944.

“We did a good job for Jakub Smrz who gained a very good time in the Qualifying Session, while we had some problem on front setting for Brendan Roberts. We’ll try to find a solution as soon as possible for give him tomorrow the best condition to improve his results.
